Each toucan was hand-made in Peru from soapstone. Soapstone is a naturally occurring metamorphic rock and, as such, there can be significant variation in color between pieces. The artists did a remarkable job of selecting complimentary inlaid yellow or green eyes. If you have an eye- or stone- (more cream, red, grey, etc.) color preference or if you want us to select similarly or differently colored birds, please let us know at the time of your order. We will do our best to give you the birds you most desire! Each bird is approximately 1-1/2" tall with his head looking over his right shoulder.
